About
Katelyn Cox grew up in Provo, UT, and received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah in 2023. She won the Audience Choice award in the Utah division of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition in 2023 and is now currently pursuing her Master of Music degree in Voice and Opera with Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.
Her recent appearances include: “Ottavia” in L’incoronazione di Poppea and “Lady Billows” in Albert Herring (Northwestern University Opera), “Jenny Hildebrand” and “Mrs. Buchanan” in Street Scene (Central City Opera), a Soprano Soloist in Vaughan Williams’ Hodie (American West Symphony), Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte and Fiordiligi Cover in Cosi fan Tutte (Berlin Opera Academy), a featured Soloist in Concert (Jenny Oaks Baker featuring the Utah Youth Singers), Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors (U Opera), the Kitchen Boy in Rusalka (UVAA Summer Festival), and Annina in La Traviata (La Musica Lirica).
